Is Alcohol Good for Health or Heart

Many people argue that alcohol consumption is good for health as reported by extensive research and reviews. However, there is a catch. Just drink alcohol to your heart's content will do more harm than good. Moderation is the key. Two drinks a day for men and one drink per day for women over 45 is considered safe and good for home health.
This brings us to another important point about why drinking more is not more beneficial. Well the answer is simple; Excess of everything is and alcohol is no exception. However, there is more to it. The alcohol in excessive amounts over a long period of time increases your blood pressure and weakens your heart muscles, which are some of the reasons for heart attack and many ailments.

By disabling certain deposits, alcohol essentially cleans your arteries and makes them flexible and broad. This results in more and better blood flow through them and reducing blood pressure. Patients who drink moderately are often in better shape than those who do not drink but eat a lot of fatty foods and lead a sedentary life.

The best overall health and reduction in blood pressure is controlled because of their eating habits and not the moderate consumption of alcohol. Although some studies and observations indicate to the benefits of alcohol on heart health, it depends largely on your lifestyle overall, body types and many other factors.
